Lenovo y580 hard drive replacement

My Lenovo y580 laptop came with a 64GB ssd and a 1TB hdd. The hdd is broken and I have to replace it and start again. Will any 2.5 inch hard drive work?

It should definitely fit in the Lenovo Y580. I would try looking for a HDD off Amazon.co.uk though since I doubt Newegg will ship to the UK for cheap.

Some laptops (mainly gaming ones) use 3.5" HDDs, so verify what size yours is before buying anything. If it's 2.5" or 3.5" you can pick up any drive of the same size and it'll work just fine.
