No bass on my HTC bundled headphones on Android.

Hi there!
I'm having a weird problem. On my Android device (LG L3) my headphones do not have any bass. The same headphones have good bass on any other device. I use equalizer on all devices (phone, laptop etc) but on my phone it doesn't have any bass. On songs with heavy bass it's like tapping on thick wood. It cannot be from the songs or headphones. What is causing this?

What settings are your equalizer at on your phone? I like to listen to bass heavy music and here's the settings for my desktop eq:

@razerz, i would say that i agree however it seems like he already is doing that? though i agree... he should make sure it cannot be fixed by eq... although i would have him completely max out the bass to see if it even helps first then worry about adjusting it to be mroe balanced later.

were the headhones bundled with that phone? if so they shouldnt be too hard to drive but i know some headphones might not work too well with phones because they need more power to drive. high ohm resistance headphones are often not powered as good on portable devices because they have weaker internal amps on the headphone jacks. if this is the case, something like a fiio e6 (a portable amp) can give headphones enough juice so that they are louder with more bass.

Usually I set bass (31,61.5) to 15Db 128) to somewhere between 5Db and highs (8,16kHz) to 15Db and 4kHz to 5Db. Mids stay at 0Db. And it only happens on my Android phone. I even reinstalled android . Yes its custom ROM but its getting hardware problem.

Headphones are from dad's phone. But they were working for 3 months flawlessly and one day I plugged 'em in and the sound was ruined. Dad's phone - HTC Desire 500, my phone LG L3 :/ . LG didn't included any headset but dad's old LG GT540 did. They have good mids,bit quiet highs and quiet bass. EQ fixes the lack of richness in sound but WTF is going on with my phone?
