Hey can anyone tell me what is the use of plug in red box in the image .

in my motherboard its little burnt up so should i get it replaced??

Hey thanks for replying ..one more question . my new power supply unit has 6- pin or 4 pin connecter .. but this require 4-pin connector .. can i use 6 pin or 8 pin one .. they fits in the plug .

look at the little lock on the 6 or 8 pin ( the little arrow thing that latch on to mare sure wire stay .. don't know how to explain it) .. that indicate which 4 should use
