I am really into gaming and I've searched through the stores and there is no one PC with the exact components that I would like. So I tried to go to websites were they build your dream PC, but for the components I chose the price was almost $200-$350 more than the components were worth on newegg.com. So I've decided (after some research) that I want to build my own. I have picked through most of the components and I would like to know if the components(below) are compatible with each other, and if you think I should switch out one part for another, or your opinion about how well you think it will work(I'm hoping to be able to run most games on best settings well). Also I plan to run Windows 8.1 on this PC. Also also, what type of cooling system should I use, links please, I do not plan to go the liquid cooling route.

Everything looks fine and dandy, aside from the power supply. A low tier brand, and a low wattage for your system, together make for a bad PSU selection. Spend a bit more on that component, as it's quite important for the stability, upgradability, and survivability of your system. I went with a Thermaltake 700w and it's already giving me problems. Also, the Thermaltake has horridly ugly looking cables...trust me.

I recommend: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?gclid=CP3bsc_y6r8CFWwQ7AodE3QAaA&Item=N82E16817207015&nm_mc=KNC-GoogleAdwords&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-_-pla-_-Power+Supplies-_-N82E16817207015&ef_id=U6iS8gAAAfxsuw4P:20140729160217:s

Manufactured by SeaSonic (one of the best PSU makers) and branded by XFX. Good wattage, good amperage on the 12v rail, and it's bronze rated. Also, beautiful cables.

EDIT: As for the hard drive, I'd shoot for a Western Digital Red series. They're generally better for gaming, and not very costly. Maybe $10 difference.

I just realized that the mother board supports 2133 OC/ 1866 OC, and the RAM stick I put up there is 1600 OC, do you think that would be an issue?

Things are most certainly not "fine and dandy". The old LGA 1155 motherboard is not compatible with the LGA 1150 CPU. It's true that the PSU is garbage.

OP - Please edit your thread to include all the information in the *How to Ask for New Build or Upgrade Advice* sticky so we can help you get the best system for your intended use and budget.

It wouldn't be, as the motherboard will use the available RAM frequency. The make just advertises the maximum it handles, usually.

Skipped my mind; never have people post incompatible board/cpus. Shortstack here is right though, you'll need a better board.

Thanks for the tone, though, Mod.

I will soon, but any suggestions on a newer mother board that is compatible with my components (I am also going to get a new PSU)

It's really based on your budget, but my 2c would be: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128714

Good build quality, and if you were to get a "k" marked CPU, it'd be good for overclocking.

While we wait for more information here is a build to consider.
