HDD locked after using PartedMagic

I was using PartedMagic in ubcd530 to erase my hard drive and I accidentally pulled the plug out of the laptop while it was in the middle of the process, and my laptops battery is dead so it turned off, upon restarting my laptop it is now asking for a hard drive password, I never set any hard drive password or anything. I can only enter the BIOS and when I try viewing boot options or booting from CD/DVD or USB it asks me for a HDD Password.

What is Toshiba going to do about it? I'm pretty sure it's PartedMagic that made the password?

Thank you but how can I get into Parted Magic if it asks for HDD password when trying to boot from USB even after disabling the hard drive in the BIOS.

Disconnect the hard drive and put it in an external USB enclosure/adapter. Boot your laptop using UBCD then plug in the external drive and open PartedMagic.

IIUC, when a drive is "Secure Erased", it is first protected by a password. If the erase is interrupted, then the drive retains this password. A Google search would suggest that Parted Magic uses a "NULL" password.

Okay guys, I guess I will just buy a new hard drive as I have no external adapter, I used the NULL password in Parted Magic but NULL doesn't work as the HDD password

A "NULL" password might simply be saying that there isn't any password, in which case hitting the Enter key might suffice.
