No display from XFX6950 after CPU cooler upgrade

Hi guys. Bit of a weird problem that's been stumping me for the past couple of days. I recently changed my system's stock cooler to a coolmaster 212 evo on an ASUS P8P67 motherboard.

The change went simply enough, but not I'm getting absolutely no display output from my XFX HD 6950 GPU.

The system boots fine (as far as I can tell. Eg HD spinning up, all fans normal etc) but there is no display whatsoever. I can only assume I'm missing something painfully obvious so here's an galley of some pics from the setup. I can only assume I've mis-plugged something but really can't figure out what! ; http://imgur.com/a/4jRJm#0

Could anyone offer me any help? It'd be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Did you clean off & replace the old thermal paste ?

That motherboard has ASUS Q-Design which lights up a red LED next to the CPU/RAM/HDD/GPU in post, if everything is okay the red LED goes on then off. But if it does stay on, then the red LED is signalling a problem with that component.

Cleaned and reapplied the paste. I thought I might have dislodged the CPU so I took the cooler off and reseated the CPU- still nothing. No red error lights remain on after the first couple of seconds.

Just curious, looking at the picture (number 6) in zoom, are you sure the CPU fan is connected up right on the pins ?

edit: and in the 3rd picture, what is the cable dangling near the end of the card, to the left, there for ?

Yup, fan spins up perfectly.

The dangling cable in that picture is just one of the many case fans that came with the case as stock.

The fact that I cant even see a BIOS screen has me completely stumped. I've even tried a different monitor/cable; still nothing.

Just removed and firmly reattached everything. Still nothing. I'm wondering if it could be a grounding issue. Maybe I should try building it on the desk and see what happens

I'm a bit confused by this. What do you mean by the video output? The DVI/HDMI out? If so, yes.

Oh I see. Yes, I'm plugged into the GPU output(s). Tried on two monitors, nothing on either.

I've also tried another -known to work- graphics card. Still nothing which leads me to believe it must be an issue with the case. I'll rebuild it on my desk tomorrow and hopefully be able to get some output.
