Hi,
I just recently upgraded my computer (Dell Inspiron 660) with a new power source and graphics card. The graphics card is an Asus Nvidia GTx 750 ti and the power supply is a Corsair CX430. I've installed all the drivers for it from Asus and I've plugged it into my motherboard, but when i connect it to my power source with the six pin connector and boot it up again my monitor gets stuck on the "loading windows" screen and plays the start up sound for windows. How do I fix this?

More about : dont pci version

PCI Express is backwards compatible where version is concerned so that's not the issue here.
Ensure that the PCI-Express card is fully seated in the connector.

Uninstall your graphic drivers either from control panel or device manager. ( i guess you will have to put in your old card to do so) turn off computer install new card boot up let windows find "basic driver" then go to Nvidia.com and dl latest driver.

Keep in mind some machines like Dell and HP are not compatible with all hardware.

You may want to check to make sure it is seated properly, but i doubt that is the issue since you can see the loading screen.

I booted up the Nvidia Geforce Experience icon on my home screen and it told me the drivers were up to date. Every time I unplug the graphics card from the PSU Windows loads as usual and I've had to re-enable Intel HD Graphics in order to properly use my computer at its native resolution. BTW the Intel Graphics version is Intel HD 2000 and I didnt have a previous graphics card.

It is very possible that card is not compatible with your motherboard. You may want to go into your bios and display settings see if it picks up the new card and select that as the primary.

You can also try to clear the CMOS.

First step is to find out if that card will work with that dell. It most likely will work. so dont worry but to be safe you should check.

To me it sounds like it is trying to load the intell HD card on the board. Check bios first.
