So not long ago I built a computer, here are some specs

i5
asus z97
8gb ram 1866
256 SSD (samsung evo)
r9 280x
Windows8

So for me I work mostly with dreamweaver, photoshop, wordpress and all that stuff. I got a fast computer because I like some light gaming. (Blacklight, CitiesXL, bannished etc..)

This computer is way more than enough for the stuff I do, but my GF is an architect and she uses a lot of sketchup (with Vray) and autocad. I don't know if anyone has experience with those programs, but sometimes when she is rendering some work on sketchup (vray) it says out of memory, but sometimes it just gives strange errors, and obviously sometimes it works. Could 8gb be that low??? Should we order more? The strange thing is that the file is not that complicated, it's like a simple house with not that many details.... I find it strange.

or it could be just a software issue?

What do you guys think?

Solution

Should be more than sufficient. If the RAM isn't full in task manager, consider disabling your page file, or moving it to another drive.
