I've updated the drivers and what's odd I had done nothing to the computer other than move it from one location to another. Connected to the same network the same way with other systems using the same hubs as before but all of a sudden I can't connect.

To be more specific I'll add I'm getting 169.254 ip, when I connect an Ethernet the system thinks for awhile before giving up and assigning that IP address.

I just can't get over the fact that I did nothing to the systems configuration just unplugged an ethrenet and then moved it and replugged it back in.

Make sure the cable is firmly in at both ends. Check for the OK light on the back of the PC, its usually built into the socket and lights up when it sees a connection; doesnt mean its a good connection but at least you know there is one.
