With that MotherBoard you will be able to reach stable speeds of about 3.9ghz with stock cooling (Due to heat problems), however if you aren't using stock cooling then I cannot answer truthfully because of lack of information. However instead of buying a pentium I highly suggest a newer model such as: Intel 4 core i-3 @ 3.4ghz. Just my 2 cents

Yes, that was my fault (My damn vanity with pentiums) I completely forgot that they still made pentiums at all! But yes the stock cooler is great on this Processor (Make sure it is not OEM) and you can easily hit 4ghz stable with the stock cooler. My apologies: RowTheBoss

You will need to do something called: "Flashing the bios" which basicly means updating the onboard bios via a usb flash drive or sd card ect. You should probably look on the MSI website under that MOBO for a tutorial. Because I do not wish to incorrectly inform you how to do so. Do this by going here: http://ca.msi.com/support/mb/H81MP33.html#down-bios, Download the bios update and look up on youtube how to execute a M-Flash for MSI boards.
Thanks RowTheBoss.

No you will not, however you will have to 1st Install everything 2nd Turn on the Power Supply 3rd Plug some sort of memory with the updated BIOS from the website link I posted in my previous comment into the Motherboard (USB drive, SSD Card, ect.) 4th Look for a button that says M-Flash 5th wait 5-10 Minutes 6th Turn on CPU and boot everything Up

The motherboard and processor are both fully compatible. The ability to overclock does not come with the board and that is what flashing the BIOS will get for you.

1)Assemble the system
2)Do not install your OS (Just a precaution)
3)Use your current computer to download the updated BIOS and load it onto some form of removable media
4)Boot your computer, enter the BIOS (DEL or F12 usually)
5)Locate the flash utility (the manual will cover this in detail)
6)Point it at the file you downloaded. It will tell you when it is done and needs to reboot
7)Confirm the BIOS revision now matches what you downloaded
8)Install OS
9)Reboot, go back into the BIOS, and start overclocking

Not really sure on the rules about posting links to clandestine BIOS updates, so you will just have to google that. The motherboard will have an onboard flash utility you just need to supply the new file.

The standard heatsink the CPU comes with is adequate, but not at all ideal for overclocking. I suggest any cheap aftermarket cooler around $25-30. Cooler Master Hyper TX3 is about $25 and will be far superior to the stock cooler. Also fits inside most chassis.

You can flash your bios with an operating system. You still need to do it via the bios screen though, with the correct bios on a thumbdrive preferably. Your motherboard user manual will state how to do this.
