i5 4670K GTX 770 build complete, still have extra cash lying around,,, where should i spend it?

hey guys
i just decided my components
and will buy my build in the next 4-5 days
after picking all my components i still have some cash lying around
where do you suggest i spend it
here is my build:

CPU- i5 4670K
GPU-MSI Nvidia GTX 770 TWINFROZER
MoBo-MSI Z87 G45 GAMING
PSU- SEASONIC M12ii EVO 850W(to support SLI in the future)
MEMORY- CORSAIR VENGEANCE 4X2 GB 1600Mhz
HDD-SEAGATE 1TB
MONITOR- BenQ RL 2455HM(2ms 60Hz)
CASE-COOLERMASTER ELITE 431 PLUS
KEYBOARD AND MOUSE- COOLERMASTER DEVASTATOR COMBO
HEADPHONES-SENNHIESER HD 518
GAMEPAD- LOGITECH F710 WIRELESS GAMEPAD

i) my preference is a 120/144Hz monitor(BenQ XL2411T)
ii) i do not want to spend on a z97 mobo beacuse i will be using the same CPU for the next 3years atleast, and if im buying a z97 for its next gen cpu supporting capability, it doesnt make sense because even the z97 will be outdated by then
iii)im thinking of getting a second GTX 770 after the Nvidia 800 series is out and the prices for the 700 series has dropped
iv) i do not think an SSD is worth spending on

would you suggest any changes to this build which is solely dedicated to gaming?

  1. Well how much extra cash do you have lying around? Everything's good with your build for its purpose and it will have not trouble maxing out games at 1920x1080. You could get an AMD GPU instead but if nVidia is you're preference then that's fine. You could also get better and faster RAM. Other than that if you still have money to spare maybe get better peripherals?
  2. I would get a better case. The Enthoo pro is probably the best without getting expensive. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cBhmn21ylkc http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811854003&cm_re=phanteks%2c-_-11-854-003-_-Product

Also, I would get a 280x jus because it has 3gb vram, but that is just because games may be using more than 2gb of vram for 1080p in the future and I don't know how long you are planning on keeping your 770(s)

EDIT: Oh I forgot, get a hyper 212 evo or better to cool your CPU.
  3. If you don't have a cpu cooler, maybe get one in case you want to overclock a little in the future.

A 144Hz monitor would be a huge upgrade, I highly recommend spending your money there. You could also get a mechanical keyboard with Cherry MX switches of your choice and a new mouse such as the Mionix Avior/Naos 7000, but a 144Hz monitor would really take advantage of your system, you'd love it. :)

By the way, I really like your build. The only change I would suggest is an EVGA Supernova G2 850W instead of the Seasonic. The Seasonic is still a great PSU, but the G2 is even better. It has better ripple suppression, voltage regulation and a hybrid fan so the fan wouldn't even spin when you're gaming. It's also Gold certified and probably cheaper than the Seasonic. :)

Also, you don't really need to overclock your CPU right off the bat as it won't give you a noticeable performance increase, so I think both of my suggestions are better than a new CPU cooler. :)

EDIT; I agree with TheMagicalWallaby. The Phanteks Enthoo Pro is a much better choice for a case. :D
  5. get an r9 290 or if you still have extra money get a 290x. This will increase performance especially in games that support mantle.
  6. I agree with calnin in that a better cpu cooler for potential overclocking would be a good idea.

I disagree. It won't give him any noticeable improvement with a 60Hz monitor, plus even the aftermarket cooled 290's get really got and loud. :)
  8. It is a gaming machine, so buy games?
  9. hey guys thanks a lot for the quick responses
but both the case and the EVGA PSU are not easily available in my country
ill keep a lookout for them though
and as for the GPU....for some reason i like Nvidia
and i only have money for something that will give me a significant improvement in performance or gaming experience
a 144hz monitor seems well worth the money
and yes i would also consider getting a cpu cooler
once again thanks a lot guys!
  10. Better case - NZXT Phantom 530 or 630
Better Keyboard and mouse - Logitech G400, Razer Arctosa

No worries. I say go for the Benq XL2411T, and if you have any money left over go for a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO, that'll get you a nice solid overclock. :)

Don't forget to select a solution if you are happy with the responses. :)

Edit; I agree with the post above, the NZXT Phantom series are pretty damn amazing cases. Get one of those instead of the Cooler Master if it's available in your country. :D
  12. Benchmarks are always helpful. It shows that the gtx 770 is good enough for 1080p gaming even with AA and AF turned up a bit. :)
