Please give me the best solution

Also i have a 1866mhz corsair vengenace ram if that helps
asus maximus vii mobo

Also does the MSI Radeon R9 290X TWIN FROZR GAMING OC 4GB GDDR5 go hot when you play games ? which is the best?

Solution

Sorry man, but I disagree. The 290X will get higher FPS in the games you mentioned, but it will get hot, and louder than the 780 ACX. I had an MSI Twin Frozr 290 and it went over 90C in most games, and it was really loud. Had to sell it.

If you can tolerate the heat and noise the 290X will perform better.
Otherwise go for the EVGA 780 SC ACX. I personally would get the 780.

Also, if you get the Nvidia card you have the option of getting a Gsync monitor. :)

You could have just gotten a bad sample Alex.

All reviews I have found peg the temps way under 80C under max load.
Some of them overclocked and still under 80C.

Those tests would be done under the best possible conditions, keep that in mind. Things change a lot inside a case as you probably know. :)

As for 290Xs you would be better off with the MSI GAMING variant :) - It has a superior cooler that will keep it cooler and be very quiet while doing so... Also, if you ever want to swap coolers or replace the TIM for even more effective cooling - you still retain warranty ( Here in the US at least) as long as you don't physically damage it while doing so

Sigh. Did you not read what I and others said above? -_-
It does/can get very hot. and loud. Sapphire cards are much better if you are sure you want to go with the 290X.

I got those temps with my MSI card inside of my H440, which has pretty great cooling. :p
I may have gotten a bad card I guess. I've heard heaps of other people complain about hot and noisy aftermarket cooled 290s though, and I build a PC for a friend with a Gigabyte 290 and while I'm not sure what the temps go up to, I know it gets really loud. :)

I know it's the GPU as it's just obvious, and it's easy to recreate the noise by upping the fan speed in MSI afterburner. It was even more obvious it was the GPU with the side panel off, but it doesn't really matter. My friend can deal with it, but I'm OCD about these things so I wouldn't be able to :p
