Hello everyone,

I was wondering if someone could tell me how to figure out the height and width of a picture if I had a camera with a FOV of 63 degrees? I am trying to figure out how tall or short a person could be if the camera was on a wall at about 4 feet tall and 2 feet away from the camera. How would I go about finding this figuring?

Use geometry. Construct a right-angles triangle with sides 2 feet and 4 feet. Then at the top of the 4 foot side draw a 63-degree angle. This will give you the area (FOV).

(Is this a school exercise? Homework?)
