Im pretty set on getting an FX chip to go along with my new R9 290x im getting.

I have a cosair 750TX power supply and a CM Hyper 212 Plus cooler i plan on using.

I game at 1900X1200 at 60HZ, no plan to get a new monitor, and my ram is 8 gigs at 1333, i may get better later on though

I have thought of the 4670K but its $ 50 more then the 8350 and the the 8350 is $50 more then a 8320.

If i went 4670K the most i probably could afford would be an $75 mobo like this:

Would it be better for me to buy the 8350 and a cheaper Mobo, or a 8320 and a more expensive Mobo?

FX 8320 + Gigabyte ud3p if you're going with the fx overclocking route. You'll have a weaker single thread but stronger multi thread.

If you don't mind a locked CPU, go with a i5 4460 + H97 motherboard. It has stronger single thread performance which is mostly what gaming is as of right now.

I absolutely suggest the 8320.

It's basically a lower binned 8350 with a lower clockspeed to reflect that, the good thing though, is that it has a very decent price and it's remarkably easy to overclock it to 8350 on stock voltage.
Some people have even gained higher overclocks as a result of its binning compared to an 8350, which is surprising to say the least.
So you won't gain any extra power consumption, or even heat. Providing you don't need to up the voltage.

As for the board, I strongly recommend either the Sabertooth or the Formula, overclocking ability there isn't much between them.

Have a read of the following if you do go for an ASUS board:

If you can run to a newer Intel chip, it would be fairly better performing to a percentage. But the 8320/8350 should be fine for now.

You do not want a cheap board with either. Unless you are a fan of thermal throttling.
