Hi guys,

I am from Brazil and want to build my first gaming build. Since I'm travelling to USA I will buy some components there, they are a lot cheaper than here. I think buying everything from amazon will be the first choice, I will be receiving all packages on the hotel and will use Prime.

Approximate Purchase Date: this week (will be staying from 6-10 August on Miami)

Budget Range: US$1300-1400 Before Rebates

System Usage from Most to Least Important: gaming, surfing the internet and watching movies

Parts Not Required: keyboard, mouse, monitor, speakers, OS, Power Supply, Case (heavier and bigger components I am buying in brazil)

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Amazon

Country: US

Parts Preferences: intel and nvidia

Overclocking: Maybe

SLI or Crossfire: No

Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080

Additional Comments: I want a build that will run games for 4-5 years smoothly on medium settings with 1920x1080

As in Brazil, getting components for upgrades isn't as easy (or as cheap), I would suggest going with a 780TI, I made a few adjustments that won't affect the performance but will get the prices down a bit. The ram is cheaper and better too.

That is one beast of a system my friend!

Nothing i could really suggest to improve unless it's the ram, you could get a bit more of a more worth the buck and cheaper ram with G.skill

It delivers the same amount of performance and still is cheaper, what could be better than that?

Any thing else you want to add?

I'm curious what power supply you have or plan on getting when you go back.

As for parts, here are my suggestions and comments:

SSD/HDD, go with 120gb SSD and 1TB HDD. You'll be fine with that. I'm leaving it as whatever you have on there though.

Motherboard, Asrock extreme4 is a good motherboard that has plenty of features and can still support a decent overclock.

GPU, r9 290 is a cheaper gpu and in some cases stronger. Get a tri-x or windforce cooler.

If you don't care much about overclocking this would be a great build:

You're welcome, have fun building your rig and good luck! I wish I had the option to get parts from the U.S. like you, as here you just add a euro sign at the end of the price in dollars, and you get the french price for the components. ^^
