I have a AMD 8320 CPU in a Corsair 300R case and I currently have a stock CPU cooler. My temps are not an issue with the stock cooler as I never OC more than 4.1. The stock fan is super loud and I need a quieter solution. Thanks in advance.

AIO water coolers generally aren't that quiet (and I think some technically have something other than water inside). I suggest you just get a Hyper 212 EVO. It's plenty quiet, especially compared to most stock coolers. You don't need water cooling for mild to moderate overclocks.

I have looked into the 212 EVO but I was just curious if I would be able to get less sound at idle temps out of an AIO cooler such as the H100i. Thanks for the response. Cheers.

Thank you for your input. I'll look around at the 212 EVO. It's a lot cheaper so that's a postive. Any quieter air coolers than the 212 EVO? thanks again.

There are cpu coolers that are technically quieter than the 212 EVO, such as fanless cpu coolers, but I would expect them to struggle to keep up with modern cpus at stock speeds. If you underclock and undervolt, then maybe.

On a side note, are you sure you've got the cpu model number correct? I'm having trouble confirming the existence of an "AMD 9820" cpu.

My apologies *AMD FX 8320, and I looked at some of the fanless options but I agree with you that they most likely would not cool effectively under load. I don't really want to underclock because I still want to get maximum performance. 212 EVO sounds like a perfect fit.
