1cm of cpu is not covered.

Hi I was looking for someone to answer this. Ok so 1cm of my cpu is not covered by the cooler and I wanted to know if I have to correct this. The exposed piece is the top edge, the cooler is the Hyper 212 evo , and I have used it up until now.

Thats normal, its an AMD proc isn't it? Was the same for me, doesn't matter much since the cores are located near the middle and the heat spreader doesn't generally get hot near the edges.
