I have a new modem and old netgear

Ok so I got a new modem from xfinity and it doesn't have an Ethernet cable connection port and the netgear can't connect with it. How do I connect them, or do I need a new router?

Turn off the netgear and connect to the xfinity.
If your pc, or some of them are wired, then yes - contact xfinity for a router with wired ports
