Do I have to update BIOS?

Hi,
So, today I ordered my build parts from Newegg and I bought an i5 4460 and a MSI B85 G41. My question is: Is the 4460 a Haswell Refresh CPU that would require a BIOS update on 8-Series motherboards or not?

I wouldn't rule it out.. if you get old stock you may have to return it cause most old bios on the 8 series mobos dont support the haswell refresh.. if I was you I'd get an asus mobo, the 8 and 9 series mobo's support usb bios flash that will update bios without the need of inserting a cpu or ram so that if your i5 4460 doesnt work with it, you can always use the usb bios flash function which requires nothing else but a power connector connected to the motherboard and update the bios

It doesn't need an update, the motherboard you selected showed that it does not need an update to be compatible with haswell refresh series processors.

What? That's odd, since I checked and it showed an update for refreshes. But if it's already good to go, then that's great! I can't check the compatibility list because right now I'm on mobile and MSI's website doesn't like that.
