Is my CPU dead?

Earlier this year I started having a problem with my system... monitors would go blank & the computer would sound as though the fans had suddenly sped up as though it was rebooting. Discovered while watching a streaming video that the system was actually still running when this happened as I could hear the video still playing.

My first thought was graphics, so I changed the card, all good for a few weeks, then exactly the same problem started again.

Sometimes I would be able to boot and run the system for up to half an hour, then it would get worse and the screens would blank during boot up.

I have recently changed the motherboard, PSU & RAM. The only thing I kept was my old CPU. All has been good for about a month, then this morning the system failed to boot with exactly the same issue I was having before.

Specs:
Asus P8z68 Deluxe Gen 3
CPU - Core I7 2600 3.4Ghz LGA1155
RAM- 32Gb (4x8Gb) Gskills Ripjaws Z 1600
GPU Radeon HD6950 2Gb
PSU Corsair RM1000

Everything above, except the CPU & GPU is brand new, which is why I am thinking the issue must be with the CPU.

There are two monitors connected. Both work fine (tested on another system). I swapped the graphics card out as a first step. It worked for a few weeks then the same thing started happening. Same when I swapped out the PSU... worked for a few weeks. Now have replaced motherboard & RAM and the problem appeared again after a few weeks.

the mobo has a RAM test button... using that says the RAM is fine. Am ordering a new graphics card today, which will probably take a week to get to me. (I live in a remote location, no shops for around 150 miles). Just the normal single beep when I start up

I have installed a new graphics card, & will now have to wait & see if that fixes the issue. Previously, each time I installed a new component it worked fine for a few weeks before the problem returned to haunt me.

I don't have another mobo with the correct socket for this CPU unfortunately.
