Can't install Windows 8.1

A couple of few days I made a new PC from a pre built one. Since I changed the motherboard, I had to get a new OS. I got my 64 bit Windows 8.1 DVD and key but I keep getting the error code 0x80070017, is there a way to fix this? Right now i'm running the Windows 8 enterprise.

Seems like a bad DVD or DVD drive. This tells you how to create the installation on a USB.

Win 8 Enterprise is installed.
What are you trying to do with the 8.1 DVD? You can't install it from within the running Win 8 Enterprise, nor can you use your 8.1 key to activate the 8 Enterprise.

Boot from your Win 8.1 install media and clean install.

Is the windows 8.1 OEM? Perhaps that is the problem...

Right. In which case, boot from the install media and install clean, blowing away the Enterprise trial.
