Hello! I've got Windows installed to an SSD (Samsung 840 Evo 120gb). Starting yesterday it will on/off again not boot to windows and I'll get put into the bios or to a black screen saying something to the effect of "failed to boot". In the bios under boot options the SSD is not an option (but the optical and other hdd are), but if I click on Boot Options I can manually select the SSD and Windows will load right up. In Advanced settings P0 (the SSD) says Disabled.

I have recently been fiddling with overclocking my GPU (I've read that could be an issue) using MSI Afterburner.

Advice on how to enable P0 to boot?

i5-4670k 4.2ghz
ASUS z-87A mobo
8gb ram
samsung evo 120gb
windows 7

Many thanks.

Thanks for the quick response! I have not updated Bios since probably November/December 2013. Running version 1602. Is there a risk to updating the Bios? I'm relatively novice at fixing these types of issues.

I restarted the computer after reading your response to see if the bios popped up, but the computer started right up...then restarted again and hit the bios key, and the SSD is again missing from the boot options...So it seems to be happening on and off.
