I recently got a old sony vaio vgn-fx series laptop. Every time that I load a game the graphics are great but maybe 20 mins into the game it gives me a blue screen. Help???? The temp of the graphics card running only the temp program and Firefox is 56 degrees.

His GPU is idling a 76C. Isn't that a likely culprit. I would bet it goes a heck of a lot higher than 76C under load, which could be causing the shut downs.

Now that is quiet high, I didn't see that oops.
that is way to high for idle temp, try dusting out your laptop with compressed air.

ok, that's normal for a GPU.
Try installing MSI afterburner or some type of overclocking software and see if you can adjust the temp that when the gpu hits that temp it shuts down.
How are your CPU temps.
