In the middle of formatting a flash drive
The screen froze, displayed white random checkers all over interspersed with the image
And then went black, making a loud continuous static sound from the speakers
I waited several minutes, seeing nothing happen, I pulled the Flash Drive, and forced the power button down for a few seconds until it powered down

Then after maybe 10 minutes I turned it on again, only it wouldnt turn on
It still wont, Ive checked all the cables, the power, The cable fuse and nothing
The components inside appear intact, no high temperatures, no apparent damage

Whats gone wrong

Update : The USB ports seem to have power, when I plug in a Flash drive of my Wireless adapter in, it lights up

Solution
Look for the power headers in your mobo. using a flat screwdriver, let those two headers touch and see if it turns on.

So you mean fan's don't spin up and those things? maybe try to turn it on using a screwdriver. if that doesn't work... try testing the PSU only by grounding the green wire (connecting the green wire to any black wire on the 24 pin connector using any conductive object.) and see if it's broken. Then if all is well maybe the mobo's power headers are broken.

My boot order -
Flash Drive
DVD Drive
SATA HD

But no, it didnt have windows or anything on it
I was going to use it to reformat and re-install windows, but this happened first
