ATI 270 or 270X

Hey,

Im planning on upgrading my GPU from HD6670 to either ATI 270 or 270X.

Is it worth it to get the 270X?

*I dont overclock
*Currently using 17" monitor, planning to change to 24"

I will post my complete setup later if required.

Please recommend the most value/cheap PSU that supports 270/270X.

The 270x is better for not much more. That's the way I'd go.

The only difference is that the 270X has a higher stock clock, so it just depends on what you need. I would only recommend a 270 because of the price difference, and you could just overclock it yourself.

Get the 270X if it fits in your budget. 270 is good, but generally the price difference is marginal and 270X is faster.

You can overclock a 270 also.

Overclocked 270 = stock 270x in performance.. you can find OC versions of 270x in market easily.. If you were in very tight budget, get a 270..

Antec VP550P is a decent cheap PSU which can handle the card.
I am using a crappy Corsair VS 550 and it handles my 270 perfectly, but this is not certified PSU.
