Ok, good. One more question for you all. I just replaced thermal paste in order to try to get lower temperatures. Now, the paste I just replaced was not old, but I used FAR too much (I'm new at this, and used half of a tube of Arctic Silver 5 :-/ ) I put a new application of paste, now it's a thin layer. But while trying to boot, it wouldn't boot. The CPU LED was on the motherboard. Naturally, I checked CPU fan, then checked the 8-pin connector. That wasn't it, so I took of the heatsink, and found I I never locked my FX-8320 in place....... wow.... So my question is was it dangerous or damaging to run my CPU like that, all unlocked from the socket, a few minutes while I tried to troubleshoot. It works fine now just like new but it could be a prooblem that comes in the future... So, is it dangerous to do this?

No, it never turned off, because I still had the Heatsink in, it's just the CPU wasn't locked in place in the socket. So when I took off the heatsink, the CPU came up to.
