r7 250 pci 3

I have a msi ph61a p35 and a r7 250
my motherboard's pci version is 2 but the graphic's pci version is 3
there is no problem with this but i can not enable the overclock
i know that i can change my motherboard
well do you have any idea for me and for the overclock?

The PCI3 should be 100% backwards compatible with pci2 only problem is they are known not to work with prebuilds such as HP and dell things like that.

To get the full potential out of that card honestly i believe you would need a pcie3.0 mobo
