Need advice on Nintendo 3ds

Hi

Im looking to buy a nintedo 3ds

However I have some concerns with region lock as most of the games I want to play (monster hunter) is only available in NA.

I live in UK, is it possible to play a NA console/game?

What version of Monster Hunter are you looking to play? Monster Hunter 3 is available in PAL.
Unfortunately, the 3DS is region locked by default but it is possible to circumvent using a Gateway card.

The older method required that you patch your console, but with Gateway Omega this isn't necessary.
