Battlefield 4 on 256MB of RAM!?!?!

Hello!

I was wondering how the PS3 is able to handle BF4 with only 256MB of RAM. This really confuses me, as BF4 on the PC uses up to 6GB.

Will someone please explain? Thanks!

The PS3 actually comes with 512MB of total RAM. The PS3 cuts back on a lot of visual effects and the textures aren't as good as the PC version, as well as running on a lower resolution than what is available on PC. Those are some of the ways it is able to run the game. Going into all of the ways it's possible would take a while but those are the main reasons.
