I have Ubuntu 14.04 install on my laptop (UEFI boot environment) and I want to install Windows 8 beside Ubuntu as dual boot without removing Ubuntu.
I've searched this for weeks but I didn't find a solution to do so. Any Help?!

Solution
Make sure that safeboot is off in the BIOS.
Boot to a live USB or dvd of Ubuntu and using gparted make a space for windows.
Reboot to the win8 dvd and install in the space you provided. Windows will erase your grub (linux) bootloader, it doesn't like to share. At this point only windows will start.
Reboot with your live ubuntu and install boot-repair. https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Boot-Repair
Do the default repair and you're good to go.
