Hi

Do you have a screen with dvi input to test graphics card with?
Not all dvi ports support simple dvi to VGA 15 pin adapter

If graphics card has 2 dvi ports try adapter on other dvi port

1. No, if i had, i wouldn't use an adapter but i'd rather just get a cable.

2. My port is dvi-i i THINK, but on the gpu port itself, there was a plus is the area surrounded by 4 pins on the left, while the adapter had a minus instead. I told myself it didn't matter and i moved on.

3.Tried both ports already.

Specs:
400w psu red... something, forgot the brand name.
1gb ddr 800 ram
Intel core 2 duo e7200 2.53 ghz
Sapphire radeon hd 4670 512mb
Forgot the motherboard, and i'm not home eight now
If it's very important though, i'll look it up.

Cheers

Hi

Not clear if problem graphics card output
or dvi to VGA converter

The sapphire web site says dual link dvi and picture looks same as on dvi wiki page
VGA Analogue signals on 4 pins away from other block of pins

To test graphics card in PC you need to borrow a LCD screen with dvi input
Or a different dvi to VGA adapter

Without a stock of spare parts it is difficult to diagnose these problems

Okay, tommorow i'll go to the local computer repair shop and i'll ask them to help me with my case.

I forgot to say a suspicion of mine; on the adapter, i cant make the hand screws go fully in on the male dvi part of the adapter because my fingers are way too bing, and i'm thinking of getting a set of pliers and screwing them fully in manually.

Thanks for now, i hope i can find a soloution soon
