Ok guys so I gathered up money to change my PSU and graphics card and I did. My computer was pre built and bought from best buy and had a 300 W PSU and a Radeon 7450 1GB graphics card. I removed those two items and got a EVGA GeForce GT 740 FTW Edition 2GB DDR5 and a 500W PSU by Thermaltake.

I have a fx-6120 6 core processor and now here's my issue. While idle my GPU temp is 33-36 and my CPU temp is about 28-37 probably.

While playing games such as bf3 my gpu reaches a temp of 51-55 and my CPU reaches a temp of 57-60. And during my gameplay several times at a consistent pace I start hearing a loud fan noise and put my finger against all my fans and it turns out it's my CPU fan causing all the noise and it reached fast RPM's and honest keeps making a crap ton of noise.
I do not know why it keeps doing this, I tried putting in my old GPU along with my new PSU and put the GPU under strain and played bf3 on ultra and pulled very low frames and the CPU wouldn't make any noise at all in any games!

Can someone tell me as to why it's doing this, and if there is any way I can fix this? I really need help and would appreciate it very much.

Thank you in advance!

the temps are normal.....the amd fx cpu are very loud and it spins at 6000rps so while at load its really sound like a jet....so its better if u change the stock fan and get a aftermarket cooler i prefer coolermaster hyper 212 evo for good performance at low price...

Would it fit inside my case as my case is a stock case and I'm not sure if it will. And is there a reason why my CPU fan works faster when I have my newer GPU inside and not when my old ones in?

the coolers height is 159 mm or 6.2 inches so measure the case if its like 7 inches wide then the cooler should fit .....with new gpu you increase your gfx settings in games so it stress the cpu more and thus more heat and more fast the cooler.....if the hyper 212 doenst fit then then there are other options like coolermaster hyper t3x evo 92 mm height and will fit in every case......
