System lag issues

When I'm playing a game and it runs smooth for a bit, but after like 30 min it starts to lag, and I believe my CPU might be overheating, then it starts to make some robot shaking fuzz vibration sound through my audio. What's wrong?

Could be that your CPU is overheating, in return it slows its self down in order to protect its self from overheating; install http://www.alcpu.com/CoreTemp/ and let us know what temperatures you're getting

Also what are your other system specs?
