I had a bad experience recently purchasing from an Authorized Dealer. The box they gave me was not sealed and I asked if it was used and the salesperson assured me it was not. A few days later I was working with my images in the Gallery and found "Selfies" of some girl from a month before I bought my phone. I also was given a "free" tablet that I found out later is being billed to me at $10 a month and a $35 Activation fee. I was not made aware of these charges. The tablet also constantly goes to the red Verizon screen or locks up. Its not my internet service because I have an iPad that I use in the same environment with no issues.
