Nope. There isn't a better card for $400. Its a great card just make sure you have 650+ power supply and a 16x motherboard slot.

SLI is for NVIDIA, not AMD cards. Make sure it supports crossfire.

Just wondering... why a workstation board? They are a lot more expensive than what you need if your main purpose is gaming. Not only that, they may not overclock as well either since they are not really designed for it.

Well it is only £180. It is only £20 more than he cheapest 4-way sli mobo in the uK. And has much better components. It's a good deal, so I might as well go for it.

So why do you need quad sli/crossfire? Four way SLI/Crossfire is horrible from both camps in a lot of games, and 3 way is hardly worth it either since you gain very little from the 3rd card. Most people recommend 2 cards at most for SLI/Crossfire if you want to cut down on issues/headaches.

It is your money either way, so you can spend it which ever way you like. I just see that you could have a great overclocking/enthusist board with 2 way/3 way crossfire/sli for cheaper. As for game performance, they should be basically the same since there isn't a whole lot of variance across motherboards. You won't be losing anything by going with a non workstation board, and the quality will be the same either way. An enthusist board my even have higher quality, since it will be built with overclocking in mind.
