The problem is I have installed everything required to run the HP Deskjet f4280 Printer.

The device appeared in the Control Panel -> Scanner and Camera Wizard, but when i tried to click it, nothing happened.

It works well in HP Photosmart Essential 3.0, but because the scanned picture had to be cropped every single time I scanned, which wasn't necessary when I used the Scanner Wizard from Windows.

I don’t know what’s wrong. Can someone help me?

if it's not being detercted either the scanner is faulty or the usb cable, try borrowing usb cable from a friend then trying again.

like I've said the HP Photosmart Essential software could scan pictures/ documents without any troubles, so I think the problem's not in the cable. Scanner Wizard did the work faster and even cropped it for me. so what did I do wrong here? please tell me
