So I've been having a proble for the past year where when I would try to turn it on it would make a continuos beep and thats it. I could still hear the fans going but that was it. It sounded like the beep came from the gpu. To actualy start the Pc without turning it on and of 14 times till it would actually start properly I had to unplug the HDMI cable and reconnect it. This would happen at randome times and it had fixed itself for a while somehow. Now it started again. But this morning I tryed to turn it on and the pc would start booting normaly, the default beep would happen but the monitor would do nothing. I tryed clening the dust but still nothing. When I tryed disconecting the HDMI and reconected and started up the pc same thing happened only now i had a messege floating around saying HDMI Not connected. I could turn on the monitor interface with the buttons on it but had only 1 selection to start in pc/av mode. Mouse ligts up and keybord as well. If I pressed numlock the first light would go out. Help

Although nothing on the screen shows up, your PC might still be booting. You can either hear the windows welcome sound or you can see the harddisk LED blinking vigourously for a while. The reason this is important is that we need to know if your problem actually prevents you from booting or prevents your screen from showing anything, which are very different problems.

And yeah Kyle is right, you need to have at least 1 stick of ram in your PC for it to boot. So try the first one, try to boot, if it works, it's your RAM. If not, do the same for the second stick. If both don't work when used individually, that dramatically decreases the odds that it's a RAM problem

Video card is still in place, my pc always makes a short beep then shows some system info and shows the windows logo when it starts normaly. Now it makes the beep noise but nothing on the screen shows up

So I just removed both of my corsair vengence 4gb sticks of ram and I tryed to boot the system without them and the pc starts doing long continues beeps. They were put in 2 white ram slots before

Put a single stick back in to the first slot (they should be labelled).
