Just got a new modem and router all in one from comcast, after my last router got fried. Everything seems to be fine, using wifi on my laptop. But I get this message when trying to connect to the internet on my desktop 'Install a driver for your network adapter'. Please help! I am stupid when it comes to computers, so a step by step walk through would be nice. I have googled this over and over, and people just say download it on a usb and transfer it. Well I have a usb, I think I downloaded the right drivers, but I have no clue what to do from there? I have what I think is the right drivers on my pc now, but I don't know where to put them? I am lost, somebody please help

It should be an executable file - just double-click on it and let it run.

Edit: I took out the reference and link for the driver updater - some of them come with third-party bloatware and I don't want to be responsible for adding bloatware or adware to your system. I haven't had any problems but use them at your own risk.

Still no internet. Tried installing some drivers from dell, got the error message 'The realtek network controller was not found. If deep sleep is enabled please plug the cable'
