Well i know this is unusual question but recently monsoon started in India and with monsoon comes thunder bugs.So should i be worried about them getting in to my system when my pc is on/off. When i shut down my pc i cover side panel holes(which are quite large) with large book to ensure no big bugs like flies get inside but behind panel with 80 mm fans and PSU are exposed.
Are bugs ever been real problem to anyone cause if so i would keep my room window always close. Ty and pls reply quickly,

A bug getting into a mainframe, shorting a circuit was how the term 'bug' came into existence - the engineers searched and searched for the error, not realising a bug had caused it

... so yes, be very careful bugs don't get in your PC

But that was huge i m worried about small ones and i haven't heard of any similar case after that harvard incident and many of friends never had any probs with bugs in PC before(though they dont have expensive pc like mine). So u might have to convince me with a more modern example.

I don't know of a more modern example... And I don't know how big or small the bugs where u r can be.

But I would imagine that if it were a common problem where u r u would have heard about it...

Still, a critter crawling across exposed circuitry in a live PC could technically cause a short, which could equally cause a PC to crash, though I think u would have to be pretty unlucky to actually suffer damage...

All speculation of course... If u do find a properly researched article on the dangers of actual organic bugs to PCs then do share...
