Nave03,

(1) You have a fan bearing that's failing. Open your case before starting your computer and locate all your fans. Start your computer and lightly hold your fingertip on the hub of each fan. When you touch the bad fan, the squealing will stop or the sound will change. Chances are that it's the fan on your stock Intel cooler, so try that one first.

(2) CPU temperature and Core temperature are not interchangeable terms. They're completely different measurements. There's 5 thermal sensors in a 4 core processor; 1 for the overall CPU and 4 for the Cores. Don't rely on monitoring software provided by your motherboard manufacturer. Here's why:

From the Intel Temperature Guide - http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-1808604/intel-temperature-guide.html

" ... Section 3 - CPU Temperature

Also called "Tcase", this is the temperature shown in Intel's Thermal Specification - http://ark.intel.com/ ...

... a single Analog Thermal Diode located in the center under the Cores is used ...

... This sensor measures "CPU" temperature, which is the overall temperature of the processor. ... calibrated to look-up tables coded into BIOS ...

... The monitoring utilities provided by motherboard manufacturers on your Driver DVD reads CPU temperature. Thermal code can vary greatly between BIOS suppliers and version updates, and can be wrong by up to 30C. Don't expect BIOS or CPU temperature to be accurate. ... "

... Section 5 - Core Temperature

Also called "Tjunction", this is the temperature measured directly on the hot spots within each Core by individual Digital Thermal Sensors (DTS), which are factory calibrated by Intel. ... Core temperatures respond instantly to changes in load. ..."

Download and run Core Temp - http://www.alcpu.com/CoreTemp/ - to see what your Core temperatures actually are. Also, you might want to click on that link above to the Temp Guide and give it a read so you can get a better idea of what you're looking at.

There's probably nothing wrong with your motherboard. CPU temperature is calibrated to BIOS, which is often wrong. Core temperatures have nothing to do with BIOS. Core temperatures are factory calibrated by Intel.

And yes, it's always a good idea to replace the stock cooler with a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO. It's inexpensive and does a great job.

Please download and run "Core Temp" then tell us what you get.
