what is the best Virtual software that will support 3D gaming

I have an i7 4770 intel processor and have 16gb of ram and I run win 7 pro. I would like to install a virtual environment to run my games like Guild war 2 and Rift,etc. Help me to find out the best solution. would it be a Virtual Pc, Hyper-v. Looking for help.

VMWare is always solid. http://www.vmware.com/products/player/
But why do you want to run your games in a virtual machine at all? Your performance isn't ever going to be as good.

I wanted to do it for security reasons

If you're downloading your games from someplace like Steam you don't need to worry about viruses or anything like that. If you're torrenting the games, I'd be more concerned about your ISP monitoring your network traffic than getting a virus. Virtual machines really come into play when you're going to be testing something and you don't want to hose your whole computer, or if you playing with a different OS like Ubuntu or Mint. For either of those situations VMWare is the way to go. Unless you want something free, then VirtualBox works pretty well too.
