Many games are getting harder to run for those components, should i just buy a ps4 and be good for for the next few years or should I spend more money upgrading my pc and will it be worth the money. Thanks

More about : gtx 750ti amd 760k ps4

Yes, by far.

Check this out:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tYG-7T2LVDc

The graphics card used in this video is less powerful than that 750ti.

PS4 specs:
1.6 ghz 8 coreCPU
800 mhz GPU

750ti specs:
1020 mhz

x4 750k specs:
3.8 ghz quad core

Even though the PS4 has 8 cores, they are all slow cores, if you are running a multi-thread program, the 4 3.8 ghz will easily outdo the 8 1.6 ghz. In most cases games run multithread.

Yes, much better in fact. PC gaming is much easier and FAR more upgradable and cheaper.

If you give your full PC specs, I could give you some recommendations on upgrades. You can get some good upgrades for $400...

i wouldt relly say better as the ps4 will play the games at max details in the next 5 years i love to see even the gtx 780 do that lol never mind the gtx 750ti and plus the ps4 games are optimized much better but relly a pc and a ps4 do the same thing relly when coming to gaming

this video shows a gaming pc with a fx 6300 6 core and a gtx 760 vs a ps4 and the ps4 is staying at 60fps and the gaming pc drops abit

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w4z4igRnlLQ

and for Midget_Miles the ghz and mhz relly doest make a differents just look at the i5 3570k stock speed it blows away a 5ghz amd fx 8350 and it wont make a differents too haveing 4 or 6 or evevn 8 cores cause no games today uses more than 4 cores so it abit pointless to get a 8 core just for gaming

Is this meant to misinform? The PS4 already fails to play quite a few games at max settings, and the settings are only going to get lower over the course of the next 5 years. The GTX 780 may not max every game in the next 5 years, but it will surely play any multi-plat better than PS4 for the rest of its life, like the 2006 GTX 8800 did vs last-gen. As for the video, the GTX 760 + FX 6300 combo maintains better FPS while playing at 1080p, and this is in campaign, which is a GPU-bound scenario where PS4 has an advantage of not needing to rely on its CPU much, but still clearly loses in FPS and resolution; the gap would be bigger in something that needs CPU power, like multiplayer or Watch Dogs.

As for the 750 ti, Digital Foundry did an analysis here: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2014-n...

And a 900p (vs 1080p) video of it in action at settings similar to PS4: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_0v4VJu4_M4

It actually performs quite similarly in this scenario where PS4 is performing in its element (little need for CPU power), although it would probably outdo PS4 in multiplayer.

I'd personally wait a few months and get a new Maxwell GPU for better longevity, although I would guess that the 750 ti would hold its ground alright against PS4 for a while.

In terms of raw power, yes, I'd place your build above the PS4, but it's not as simple as that.

Games for the PS4 are developed with very specific hardware in mind, meaning that maximum benefit can be gained from the hardware available. As a gaming platform the PC has hundreds of hardware combinations, so the gains are much less.

Remember that a game is simply software, and all software has to be developed with a knowledge of the hardware that will power it. Good development is just as important as good hardware.

i own a ps4 and a gaming pc and i play bf4 and they both run great at 1080p no lag what soo ever even playing mp with 64 players yes the pc has more raw power but if its only for gaming and want to save a bit off money the ps4 is the better chocie to go with but if your into video editing or any of that theirs no way a ps4 could't handle that then a gaming pc is the way to go

PS4 doesn't run the game at native 1080p. As for the price for the performance, PS4 is better in the short term, but budget builds are creeping up on it (and fairly close in price, and potentially even power draw). I think convenience might be the only thing really going for it, rather than price.

The game is upscaled, aka the pixels are stretched to fit 1080p displays, but there is actually only 70% of the pixels of 1080p. In fact, the Digital Foundry video you linked earlier even says that the PC version was running at a 44% higher resolution. Also (in this case), the "1080p output" thing is just the same kind of semantics thing that was used to try and downplay resolution differences on Xbox One; by saying the game outputs at 1080p, it's not really a lie, but it tricks people into thinking the game is native 1080p, but it's really not.
