Hello everyone,

I made killer build and I wanted to see what are your opinions and thoughts.
So what I wanna do is to buy (hear me out on this) a
Msi Z87 -G45 Gaming motherboard
Intel Pentium G3258 and overlock to the max (dont rage yet)
I already have hdd`s, and Club 3d 7850 with a PSU with a case.

Basically what I`m aiming for is a versatile motherboard and CPU socket, the CPU I plan to upgrade to a good one in a year or so. Currently I have i5-650 3.2 Ghz and its just isnt making a cut anymore, due to my budget being limited I came up with this idea for gaming and just a little bit of rendering, which would improve performance and let me save up for a Awesome CPU but with out having to change the motherboard once again.

I`m open to all suggestions and opinions.■

If you're planning on OCing a dual-core Pentium to get the performance you're wanting, you're going to have to invest in some serious cooling, which defeats the whole purpose of your idea in the first place. Why not just save the extra 60 bucks to get an i5?

Not true... A Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO will do just fine, and that's not expensive. And he will be able to carry it forward and use it when he upgrades CPU...

If your goal is just to get a cheap processor to tide you over until you can upgrade to a faster LGA-1150 CPU later on, the G3258 is a perfect choice. You may wait a few extra minutes for certain software to complete rendering tasks, but unless that's literally your livelihood I wouldn't worry too much.
