I have an Acer laptop and I can't figure out how to wipe it so how do you wipe an Acer laptop

Solution
Windex and paper towels, spray on the screen and wipe?

If you want to erase the HDD, the simplest way would be to boot some OS' install disk, delete partitions, create a new one and if you want a reasonably secure wipe, do a full-format instead of a quick one.

Does your laptop have a recovery partition on your hard disc to allow you to revert it back to how it was when it left the factory? Some also have programs preloaded to allow you to make recovery discs that will wipe all user data and reinstall factory data too.

Burn a windows (or linux) ISO image onto a USB or DVD drive. Boot into it and delete the partition and format it to NTFS if you plan on putting windows back onto it. This will wipe everything.

Do you have Windows installation media like a recovery partition, a Windows disc or USB device with the Windows installation files on it? Are you trying to completely erase everything on the hard drive and then reinstall or just wipe the drive blank to use for other storage purposes?
