Please guys just tell me how to overclock my 4770k to 4.2ghz, cuz I am tired of spending ours its not stable. Blue screens. I don't understand anything please help me.

Solution
Overclocking is one of those things that if you don't have the patience and can't understand, you shouldn't be doing it.

You have a 4770k, if you have a good video card paired with it, there is no need to overclock it, it will crush any game you throw at it, so don't bother toasting stuff and screwing up your system for a bit of bragging rights that have no basis in the real world.

I have overclocked since the Pentium I days, and it still took me over a month of tweaking to get my AMD chip to 4.86ghz, with hours of tweaking and testing each day.

My advice, be happy with what you have, it's faster than you need anyways.

Just to be clear, you don't get any blue screens or stability issues with stock settings? Did you run a gambit of tests / benchmarks with stock settings? Based on the information you provided, there's no telling if your overclocking attempts have anything to do with your blue screens.

i been stress test 1 little problem with my OC. for the last 3 days....

crash at 12 min OCCT.... add more voltage..
then at 26 min... add more voltage
then at 34 min.. add more voltage and adjust few stuff
ect ...
and now at 3 hours and 8 min .... guess what .... if it felt then i will have to wait over 3 hours before can even adjust.
if you want it right and stable ... have to be patient ... there is no 1 way.

Every comp, cpu, psu,MB,chip, ram ... and they all different and they work together differently.
you can take 1 chip with stable OC and put that on another MB exactly the same but the OC might not be stable.
it a guessing game, and the knowledge of OC will help narrow it down ...
NO one on this earth i mean NO one can ever tell you that do this and guarantee be stable.
