So, I would be playing a game (for example skyrim) and my computer would suddenly switch off. Now I understand that my computer is probably overheating... It's currently rather warm in the uk, it's only been dusted (so, visible dust just lying on memory etc, not in the nooks and crannies) and you can physically feel the heat... I am just rather worried that my pc only boots up after it turns off (you hear the fans starting, but the monitor doesn't come on).

I made my pc a year ago, and I haven't had any problems with it until about 2 weeks ago. I cannot remember the components off the top of my head. But I could provide them once I get back onto my pc (slightly vicious circle).

I would appreciate any form of feedback and help to try and fix my problem. Thanks.

Have an air compressor? Open that thing up and blow it out. Dust for a computer is like a ski jacket for a person. It just keeps all the warmth in. Get as much off as possible with high-pressure air. Try to avoid canned air, since that leaves a toxic chemical film after you spray it. I don't know about the UK, but the US has air compressors at gas stations that you can use for $0.25. Maybe you can find a solution like that to just blow air if you don't have a compressor?
