i want to be able to play older games and upcoming new games on really good settings. im also a streamer on twitch.tv so nice fps would also be good. I was also wondering if i could use a 144hz monitor with this build. i will also be doing video editing

its a very good build but are u building this system just for gaming or some other work like rendering or modeling etc ? if its just for gaming then its way overkill 16 gb ram and i7 processor is too much for gaming you will not use half of the memory for gaming and the full potential of the processor ...850 watt psu for a single 780 too much 700watt would be good unless u want to SLI in future...
