this is my first time build layout for media/gaming what do you think?

Solution
If you can afford one, get the 280X or the GTX 770 as they are faster.
I say go for the 770 if you can afford it. The 760 is a great card though, I have one.

The CPU you picked out is better than the 6300, just stick with it if you're sure you want to go with AMD.
I do agree with Alpha's advice on the power supply though, that list is a great reference point.

If I were to suggest any other changes they would be to get an i5 4690K CPU paired with a Z97 motherboard.
Intel CPUs are better for gaming than the AMD FX series, run much cooler and can be overclocked higher.

I also recommend 8GB of 1600Mhz Corsair Vengeance RAM, as that is already more than enough for gaming.
You should also get one 500GB SSD rather than 2 smaller ones...

Would you be open to considering these changes? I can help you pick out a nice build with a Z97 board if so. :)

That's pretty much everything I suggested haha. I was waiting for him to reply before doing him up a build.
That looks decent though, although I would make some changes. Will post back again in a a few minutes.
