Hello

I'm trying to set up an Asus VG248HE to work with my mac. However, the displays dropdown maxes out at 60Hz, and there's no mention of Mac drivers on google, Asus's site, youtube, and etc. Has anyone had luck with this?

Thanks!

What card are you using? Also monitors have no drivers.

What cable are you using? It's needs to be dp or dual link dvi.

Btw wrong model number, it's either the VG278HE or VG248QE.

Oops you're right, it's a VG278HE.

I just set up with a minidisplayport-to-hdmi, but the prefs still are at 60 Hz.

Now with Cable #3: mini-displayport to DIV-D-dual-link.

Menu options have change from ~60/45/25Hz to my choice of 60Hz or 60 Hz. (duplicated)

To get the 144Hz option you should either use the dual link dvi to dual link dvi (which comes with the monitor) but you can't use that on a mac
another option is a mini displayport to displayport cable
I don't know if the VG278HE is displayport compatible but I own a VG248QE and it is. In case your monitor doesn't have DisplayPort use a Mini DisplayPort to Dual-Link DVI Adapter
Note that adapter might work only if it has a USB cable for power, normal Mini DisplayPort to Dual-Link DVI Adapters wouldn't work

Get this one:
http://store.apple.com/us/product/MB571Z/A/mini-display...
and just use the cable that came with the monitor
