Weird Audio Distortion

I have when installing or removing some programs a small sound distortion, like the system cannot catch up. I can replicate the distortion when uninstalling Java. This also can happen when installing directx, but that only happened once before and I tried replicating it but cannot do it.

I checked task manager with CPU usage and saw no spike in usage, same with the GPU and no RAM usage spikes either. I have no idea what would cause this.

Is this a normal thing with Windows?

My PC specs:
i7 3770k (No Overclock)
Asrock Z77 Extreme6
8GB XMS RAM (2 Sticks of 4GB, one stick is 1333mhz and one is 1600mhz but both run at 1333mhz, I had a friend buy me a extra stick and got a 1333mhz one instead of 1600mhz)
GTX 780 SC (No Overclock)
2TB WD Black (Main Drive)
1TB Hitachi (Old drive used for recording)

I am using a CORSAIR Enthusiast Series TX750 V2, I have had it for about 2 years. (edit: 4 Years)

I will have a go at taking the 1330mhz one out tonight. If this is the problem I will end up buying a Corsair vengeance 8GB kit.

If anyone else has a idea why this happens please post, I really don't want to spend £60 pounds on RAM if this isn't the issue.

Well I took out the 1333mhz stick and clicked uninstall for Java and still got the audio distortion.

I'm going to take out the 1600mhz stick and put in the 1333mhz one back in to test if it was the stick causing the problem.

I have already tried 5 versions of the Realtek HD Audio drivers, the one that came on the disk, the latest version, a version from another disk and another. All the same distortion.

I also just reinstalled windows and I still get the distortion, so my next guess is the PSU. I just got a new PSU and new RAM orders. Hopefully this will fix this, as this IS a hardware problem now because the PSU is 4 Years old and the RAM is also.
